I have detailed tips and strategy advice for the following three exams:

Cambridge English: First (FCE) Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE)  IELTS Academic

My philosophy is: know your enemy!

For most people passing or failing an English exam can create fantastic opportunities or have major consequences.  This is why I try and get my students to imagine the exam as an opponent.  At the top level of sports, most of the athletes have similarly high abilities.  But the athletes who succeed are the ones who can think strategically, exploit their opponents’ weaknesses, and take advantage of every chance to get something extra.

By coming to this page and reading this far, you are probably aware of how important this mentality is.  My goal with these tips is to help you manage your time and show you what to focus on in each section of each of these exams so you can get the score that your abilities deserve.  Make sure to take at least two practice tests before your exam so you know what it will actually be like on exam day!

Good luck and please leave a comment or send me an email if you have any questions!
